Frequently asked questions.

  • Canine FMT studies indicate 0.5gm-1gm of stool per kg of patient. Using a 20k dog example, that would translate to 20-25 Amend Pet capsules in a send-home regimen which pet owners store in their freezer and administer to their pet over 5-7 days. The Amend Pet device enables approximately 4 regimens per donor dog sample.

  • Creating FMT capsule regimens from donor dog stool takes < 15 minutes.

  • Cost to create a capsule regimen for FMT is under $50. Estimated patient price is $200-300 per send-home regimen.

  • At -20 Celsius our capsules have viability for at least 6 months verified by rt-PCR testing.

  • Studies published in sources including the Journal of Veterinary Internal Medicine and Frontiers in Veterinary Science show efficacy in restoring the microbiome in dogs with dysbiosis from treatment with antibiotics, acute diarrhea and parvovirus.
