Canine FMT studies indicate 0.5gm-1gm of stool per kg of patient. Using a 20k dog example, that would translate to 20-25 Amend Pet capsules in a send-home regimen which pet owners store in their freezer and administer to their pet over 3-7 days. The Amend Pet device generates 4-8 regimens per donor dog sample.

Creating an FMT capsule regimen from donor dog stool takes about 15 minutes.

Cost to create a capsule regimen for FMT is about $55 including veterinary technician time. Typical patient price is $175-225 per send-home regimen.
